KZN SOUTH COAST SUMMER BEACH TOUR DECEMBER 2012
South Coast Set to Sizzles this Summer…
Summer just got hotter so It’s time to don your sunglasses, pack your beach towels and head for one of the many blue flag beaches along the KZN South Coast strip this holiday season. The South Coast Summer Tour promises action packed beach festivals with nonstop fun for the whole family to enjoy.
The Margate Student Festival kicks off on the 25th November & runs through to the 1st December offering matric and university students the best in SA artists and DJs with a international headline act thrown in for good measure. Be sure to join in the Spring Break Beach Festival (28th Nov – 1 Dec) daily between 12h00 and 16h00 to catch the likes of Lonehill Estate, Morgan Beatbox, Locnville, The Graeme Project, Catherine Grenfell (5fm), Dino Bravo, DeaderthanDisco, IseCream & Chocolate Stix, Milkshake (5fm), Poppy (5fm) and the international super star Colleen Shannon. The festival is staged free of charge daily on Margate Beach between 12 noon and 16h00 and then moves into Backline for after dark dance club action. The Coca Cola Student Tour will offer daily beach sports, student fashion shows and beauty pageants whilst the Supersport Varsity College Volleyball Nationals (Margate 30 Nov – 1 Dec) will determine the 2012 national champions.
Other festival highlights include The Vodacom Summer Tour (Margate Beach 13- 15 December) will play host to full program of beach entertainment for the family. Thousands of rand’s worth of giveaways, gorgeous promoters, beach games and interactive promotions will keep the teenagers busy throughout the start of summer. The little ones can enjoy the Fanta Fun Zone (Port Edward, St Michaels, Hibberdene & Margate Beaches) with big screen computer gaming zones, chill spots, ball pits & face painting whilst The East Coast Radio Summer Tour ( Margate 18 & 19 December) will offer a full program including live artists as well as our favourite East Coast Radio jocks.
Sep/Oct holidays are almost here
The holidays are almost here and no holiday is fun if your not at the beach! So make sure you bring yourself and your family and friends to the South Coast this holiday season.

Saturday, September 1st is Spring Day at Rotary Flea Market in Uvongo. Everyone is invited to bring unwanted items to donate to Rotary. A spring bonnet competition will also take place with judging in the tea garden at noon. Fabulous prizes will be awarded for the best bonnets. There will also be face painting and balloons for the children. Stalls to be decorated and best one will win a prize. On sunday, September 2nd, the popular boot sales takes place at the flea market and the public can bring their unwanted items to be sold. Cost per car is R35.
